Our Hidden Gem <3
When we started the search for a studio space, we ran into so many dead ends. Unreasonably high rent, run down spaces and lets not talk about the constant struggle with location. Just when we had almost settled for a space a little too far away, we found a little space in Middletown, Ohio that is perfect!
Tucked in a building on Oxford State Rd, the studio gives clients the convenience of being a short distance from major cities in Ohio including Cincinnati, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio. It is super close to a few smaller cities as well including Monroe, Ohio and Trenton, Ohio.
I remember the day we got those keys, seems like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time. The space needed a little bit of elbow grease and some new paint but honestly, the journey of the transition has been really awesome to watch!
I also have to mention that up until that point in my 30 years of life, I had never painted an entire wall on my own let alone a whole room. From the beginning we told ourselves, "No excuses!" so we YouTubed and Googled our way through almost the entire process and I must say, it looks pretty great! We are super proud of it and can't wait to see how it continues to change and transition in the future.
Here is a look at some of the progress.
The before:
Lots of cleaning, painting and organizing!
........drum roll please!

The now!
That little note at the end is pinned up there as a reminder that the only way to NOT be successful, is to give up. It's so important to me, to know that, and more importantly, to believe that. I'm incredibly thankful for Teaira and the love, support and constant encouragement she has given me. None of this is possible without her. Because of her, I believe in me.
This has been such an amazing process! I have truly tried to slow down and enjoy every moment. Even the sweaty cleaning days or the millionth trip to Lowes, I wouldn't trade a second of it. I have learned so much not only about how to paint 12ft ceilings (not as easy as I thought haha), but I've learned so much about myself and the team that Teaira and I can be together. The opportunity to have this studio is one I will forever be grateful for. I'm beyond excited to see how many little babes we will get the absolute pleasure of meeting and watching grow!
